Cor Meibion Ystradgynlais, Ystradgynlais Male Voice
Choir, has a history going back to 1947 when a group of miners from
the local Ynyscedwyn Colliery formed a choir to compete in the Miners'
Eisteddfod. Since then the choir has gained a great reputation, made
numerous records and travelled the World as a premier example of the

Cor-y-Gyrlais (The Gyrlais Choir)
are based in Ystradgynlais and follow the long tradition of welsh male
voice choral singing. Their musical director Meirwyn Thomas has lead them
